i discovered so many things with laurie, and one of them is... rare meat.
we went to buffalo grill, first time for me. my family is very religious, muslim, they never do raw meat. and i was like... 19 years old? i'd never had rare meat in my entire life.
i walked into that goofy place, it was somewhat terrible and funny at the same time. bad music, families, middle-aged people with their kids, not a single guy looking like me.
then i tried to order some "fully cooked meat", she almost insulted me and told me to try rare instead. i did. it was weird. not delicious. but definitely something i wanted to try again and again.
i discovered so many things with laurie. from french cheeses to japanese noodles to korean food.
all of that holds her smell now. i won't live that ever again.
